Great interview with a true gentleman.

I truly appreciated him not allowing himself to be pinned down into a particular camp. It is this integrity that I valued in the CBC 25 years ago, but saw destroyed the last 15 years.

Yes the Vortex is spinning faster & faster. It reminds me of someone who having told a lie, is trying desperately to keep the lie alive when it is falling apart. Our culture is obsessed with Narratives, and unfortunately Narratives are lies.

I saw this quote in the comments section of an article on Juno News this morning. "But mostly, Canadians need to learn wisdom, the subtle knowledge of right and wrong based on a faithful commitment to honesty, respect, faith, courage, duty, unity, gratitude, piety, hope, generosity, kindness, diligence, politeness and compassion"

This is the only way out of our current crisis. We cannot get the "right messaging" to get us out because getting out requires us to focus on spiritual values which are tied to real action & behavior.

Glad Brian wrote this book and that you and others are interviewing him, drawing out his spoken stories. I did not know his influence on the Canadian support of Ethiopia during the famine until he started doing interviews for this book. His take on the FLQ and use of the War Measures Act fascinating; his way of maintaining a friendship with Conrad Black a textbook for staying connected during troubled and divisive times. Thank you both.
