Disturbing, it feels like heteronormativity puts women into an uninspiring and unfulfilled oppressive straightjacket of life. Is this really a reflection of the Liberal regressive agenda at work? The feminist ethos that you can “have at all," by simply prioritizing professional success over everything is reaching its obvious uninspiring result. It does little more than put women on a hamster wheel to equal outcomes, achieving the same: work-life imbalance, growing health issues (i.e., heart disease) and ultimately being left unfulfilled. We have so destroyed the idea of family, meaning and purpose the more individualistic nihilist and narcissistic tendencies leaves us pessimistic. The lack of meaning and purpose becomes amplified if you have no children to share the full arc of a life with. Having children is what makes people better because it forces you to contemplate the future - rather than your own "here and now" desires.
Encapsulated here is the notion (be it true or not) "that 80 % of women wanting (date) the top 20 percent of men". Netflix brought this home in the series Adolescense in a rather awful way and is there any wonder Gen-Z is heading in opposite directions politically (women turning left, while men go right).
I will drop this video link given its powerful anti-heteronormative message that we are inflicting on children, This is part of the overwhelming anti-heteronormative message that, if we were honest, found its roots in the Lesbian feminist centered "Women's Studies" programs established in universities some 30 years ago. This has evolved and been rolled up with the gender and queer studies to create a toxic cultural mix, Irony is that this has exposed an unhappy marriage with the "misogynist" trans-radicals wanting to occupy women's spaces. This video is about one thing (bullying) while in reality the deeper, dark, message is learning to hate being considered heteronormative: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSTSjcHCjz8
