Let it die. In fact, help it die. From the ashes might rise the good again.

This is a great podcast series and this episode is perhaps the the best of the bunch. C18 seems to be a law designed by people who aren’t very smart and don’t understand the industries they hope to control. It is reminiscent of the legalization of cannabis which amounted to trying to create a legal market without having an economist on the design team, a bit like building a bridge without

consulting an engineer. The result is a thriving black market and a huge surplus of unsellable weed in the overtaxed legal market. In the even more complex media universe, this lack of smart people is going to lead to some seriously perverse outcomes.

Fairness and trust. At the heart of it all. Separation of media and State is required just like Church and state.

In a similar way, we also need Separation of Business and Media.

Really this is about clear boundaries
