Excellent interview and I was particularly buoyed by the fact that he identified class and not color (or for that manner any other identity factor) as the root of the issue. We are indeed brothers in arms against the woke politicians and corporate elite. Bravo Jamil, for telling it like it is! You have my respect. Thanks Tara for this interview. We need to hear more from people that don't see everything through the lens of systemic racism.

Yes, "us and them" is indeed a class issue -- "we" are entitled to oppress/discriminate against "them". Wokeism, as far as I see it, is a platform of class discrimination, upheld by a foundation of "positive race/gender discrimination". Your ideology determines your class, and Jamil has been determined to be of low class status.

The Liberals trick to split the vote of the workers is to tell the working immigrants that they are welcoming and pro-immigration while the multigeneration Canadian workers are racist. They also prefer immigrant workers to Canadian workers because immigrants are financially insecure, don't know their rights as well and are less likely to speak up for themselves.

I think in the 2020 election in the US a large number of Hispanics had this realization. Let's see who can lead the shift here in Canada.

The people who make most of their money from asset appreciation have been getting all the economic benefits pretty much since the price of oil collapsed in 2010. Time to improve the situation for wage earners.

This was a brilliant interview. What an utter breath of fresh air and intelligence.

Wow! What a refreshingly intelligent fellow. I am an 80 year old "white" guy retired from a 42 year career with a major Canadian Bank. I met my first "black" person when I was 10 years old (1951) near my family's lake cottage in Northern Saskatchewan. He was a hugely tall robust person and had driven up from America in a robin's egg blue Cadillac to make some evangelistic presentations at a religious camp nearby. He stopped to talk to me and I thought he was just amazing. Since then I have traveled all 7 continents and have met a wide variety of people from many different races and cultures. Oddly enough they all look like me (same number of eyes, noses, ears, arms, legs, etc.) Events in my life led to a remarriage when I was 48 and a third child when I was 51. He is now 29 and might be quite despondent about the state of the world had he not discovered people like Jordan Peterson and Tara Henley. My life has been fantastic but I worry for my son's generation. Folks like Jamil give me hope!!!! Keep fighting this battle Tara. I am now going to make a small subscription as previously promised.

The active consolidation of like-minded viewpoints while silencing or marginalizing differing perspectives is the very heartbeat of segregation.

I apologize for these off-topic questions, but I'd like to avoid Twitter.

Are any outlets offering balanced coverage of the trucker protests?

Does the subscription fee grant access to one or more than one substack?

Rebelnews, TrueNorth, Convoyreports, Ottawatalks, FB: Convoy to Ottawa 2022 Restart, Convoy to Freedom 2022, The Real Pat King Live. Amazing work they are doing! Of course Legacy media is not giving a true picture at all. I've never seen Canadians coming together like this. It is beautiful.

Don't forget news media and personalities outside Canada like The Daily Wire, Blaze TV, Newsmax, Ben Shapiro, Dave Rubin, Mark Dice, Paul Joseph Watson, Matt Walsh, Blaire White (conservative transgender), and many more. They're all talking about the truckers. And if you don't know Sky News Australia, you are missing out on one of the few legacy media outlets that report the truth and are critical of woke culture.

Both of these are terrific livestreams offering a much more positive (and true!) portrayal of the protests.

Thank you Tara and Jamil for this rich and incisive interview. Through this and your other features, Tara, my understanding of the phoniness of the corporate “woke” agenda has grown. Jamil articulated so clearly how this is taking place, how minorities are being manipulated to meet these companies’ political and ideological agendas, so they can check off the boxes and pat themselves on the back as the good guys. They’re not interested in diversity of thought at all, just in optics. Thank goodness for people like you two for standing up and challenging this misguided nonsense.

Hang in there, Jamil. I have some idea what you’re going through. I too was terminated from my municipal job on 1/04 (for refusing to state my vaccination status) and am indecisive on whether to take legal action. Although I suspect I have a strong case that is only becoming stronger with the changing tide of public opinion, I also can’t help but feel that God has led me out of the situation for bigger and better things. Sometimes I feel anger, but lately I feel pity for those lost souls I left behind.

“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you;”

Matthew 5:44

Maybe he didn’t expect to be ambushed like the way he was, but I think Jamil knew it was coming. It’s a game and he wasn’t playing it. It stings either way, I’m sure, but there’s no sting bigger than the one you didn’t see coming. It’s a lesson, nevertheless, and one that prepares you for bigger battles.

Best of luck with your journey.

I use to be an ardent left but the needle for the left has gone off the deep end! Everything from big tech, news media, big pharma, wallstreet, governments the far woke left have infiltrated and is spreading divide, hate, segregation and hypocrisy as the normal rhetoric! Gone are the debates, if you don’t fall in line or you start questioning, you get cancelled, censored! There is no counterbalance in the discussions, their way or the highway! Their narrative is trust to them, cause you are stupid, so they will bring you to the promise land! But this promise land is nothing but a mirage! There is a lot of blame to go around, from the tablets our kids watch constantly, the fatherless family, the soft approach to everything instead of tough love…the list is endless. But to make real meaningful change, we have to look in the mirror and start with ourselves! We let it get to this state by ignoring the woke left and capitulating for far too long! Hindsight is always 20/20 and we should have seen it coming but we were too busy with our lives to see what was going on around us! It’s no excuse, just reality! Now that we are gradually realizing the damage the woke far left has done we have to pull up our boot straps and start fixing this crazy world we live in!

A mirage, indeed.

It’s kind of difficult to resurrect the dead, so this might very well be the end of this great civilization! History tells us that Civilizations come and go. Mayan, Mesopotamia, Rome - they all fell. Online barbarians, enabled by the tech Gods, have sealed the West’s fate, it seems.

No one knows what lies ahead, but it’s very difficult to fix a problem of this nature and size. It has to run its course, die then re-emerge. A renewal, re-birth seems more plausible…

Excellent interview, refreshing, original and disturbing hypocrisy of corporate media

Refreshing, original, a warning about the "groupthink" of mainstream narratives that cannot imagine other perspectives, even while "valuing" diversity and inclusion - but needing that to be in a box approved by the corporations.

Great segment - the idea that Corporate N America is disingenuously using social movements for political and economic purposely and effectively using minorities as pawns to further their agendas was eye opening. It’s all coming together and this was another piece of the puzzle. Thank you for your bravery Jamil. Will look forward to your Substack!
