"I love talking to people who did not go to college. ... They say what they think, they say what they see. ... This is very different from conversations among the educated class who say what they think they are supposed to say"

Our educational institutions have become indoctrination centres, not places that teach critical thinking skills. Our Human Resources Departments have become a enforcer of "right think" and "right speech". George Orwell would be so proud of them (not).

As a child, I was fascinated by the "Names for God". One word for God, caught my attention. "Truth"

I claim as my God, "Truth". The thing about truth is that it is a destination that you never really arrive at. You always have to "Test the Spirits" to see if they are of God. (True) This is a constant thing as it is easy to believe things that are not true. A God named Truth is also a nuanced God, because what is true is complex and often appears contradictory. A lot of Humility is required to worship this God.

In our culture, what people seem to believe is "Tribal". People express ideas/beliefs that put them in alignment of their "Tribe", which means that they speak a lot of things that are not true. Even worse, they make decisions on the basis of things that are not true. Decisions made on the basis of "Untruths" lead to disaster.
