I do not think Liberals can come back because they seem to think in "talking points" and not connected to reality.

Lets talk about Climate Change and Alternate Energy. Have you ever driven by a field of Solar Panels? Look at the vegetation under the panels. When I do this, I see very unhealthy vegetation, which implies unhealthy soil. Unhealthy soil off gasses CO2, and in todays world, Unhealthy soil according to some, a major source of CO2. https://www.amazon.se/Plunderers-Earth-Erosion-Civilization-Crusade/dp/B0DDCHYTNK?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=ANU9KP01APNAG

Point being, many of the solutions being advocated by Liberals, not only do not work, they actually are causing more harm than the problem they are trying to solve.

Shhhh.....doesn't fit the narrative.

To add to the 'solution causing more harm' issue, I recently read that the vibrations caused by windmills force all the insects in the soil to vacate, reducing its viability for years even after the windmills have been taken away. If they are ever taken away, that is.

Immigration is a complex issue. In Calgary, we have a lot of immigrants coming on the points system which means that they are educated professionals. The last 4 years we have had a flood of them arrive.

Here is the issue, now they are all competing with each other for the same work, and the recent arrivals are undercutting those who arrived 10 years ago. They all want to live in major cities, and all have similar qualifications. (IT, engineering, managerial skills, medical tech, etc.) Now, they are looking at the situation, and saying the UAE looks good because they want my skills.

Our immigration policies in Canada are not working, but not for the same reasons as the US. Fundamentally, we need to have an immigration policies in Canada that are focused on integrating new arrivals into existing communities, which is very different than the points system. Perhaps, the Temporary Foreign worker program should be the gateway (not the points system), as those workers already have jobs in local communities.

Personally, I am a believer in decentralization as I do not believe that a Bureaucracy in Ottawa can ever administer a sane immigration policy for my community.

I find it unsettling to see the dialog framed in terms of what the Democrats need to do differently to beat the Republicans and return to power rather than what politicians (Democrat or Republican) need to do differently to better serve the country / society / their voters. Seems to me that any politician/political party that made that the focus would both be better for the country and more likely to be elected.

oh I like him! I just read his piece on Environmentalism to Climate Catastrophism. Excellent essay and highly recommend to all teenagers for foundational reading.

Don't underestimate the barren cat ladies and their low T hangers on. Especially the ones with graduate degrees in the social sciences.

Remember the Bolsheviks.

I don't think I'm going to bother listening to this. I have a feeling the introduction provides all the content of the interview, and I've had more than enough US election dissecting. Throw us a Canadian bone please, Tara.

Tara,

Why would you choose to feature an individual who is so spectacularly wrong?

On the surface, at least, this “comment” seems to be a rather stark example of the obdurate mindset that the interviewee is criticizing – one that he says has infected the Democratic party to its self-evident detriment. As folks like Bernie Sanders (a rather old-fashioned progressive) have also acknowledged.
